What is the Alliance, you ask?
The Alliance is a project group intended to encourage visual and literary artists to work together. I've felt for some time that the dA Literature Community can at times be somewhat insular - to its detriment. We in the Lit Community are also sometimes prone to griping about the lack of exposure our work receives when compared to that of visual artists. So in the spirit of ^thorns brilliant Complaint Challenge I thought I would try to do something about that. And so the Alliance was born!
Because I, your founder, have a deep and abiding love for the seasons, this group now hosts seasonal contests, and as the Winter Contest is now over, it is time for Spring.

Single Stock ChallengeHello from the admins of #TheArtOfManipulation! It's time for a new Contest and this one is going to be BIG!

How it Will Work
For this contest, we are going to make things TOUGH. We will provide you with a list of stockers that you can choose from, however you only get to choose ONE stock artist and you must use all stock from that artist. And to make things even harder, you cannot use any human models, premade backgrounds, PNG cut-outs, or brushes (except the preset ones located in your software already). Also you MUST use a minimum of 3 stock images, there is no maximum

Hi everyone

*DemonikaDemise and I are working together to bring you all a monthly "just for fun" challenge! Keep reading for the scoop on our first challenge!

Classic Holiday Song Challenge
~~~~~~~~~~

This Challenge is just for fun and any one can enter - you do NOT have to be a member of the group!. The theme is Classic Holiday Songs, so choose your favorite one for inspiration and start creating.

Just to make things difficult, actually because this IS a group to help guide you and teach you, we are going to throw in a mandatory stock! Yep, just because we can! No, the real reason we are doing it this way is to see the many beautiful interpretations on this stock. The stock can be found here

now the other catch to using this mandatory stock is it CANNOT BE THE BACKGROUND! you can use it as part of a background scene, you can use it as a main focus, you can use a single element out of the image however, the image itself cannot be your background. You also must state in your deviation comments that your work is for this challenge and include either the group name or group icon. Not sure how do do that? Don't worry, just check the bottom of this journal to find out how.
